Ray Hunt became a member of the EDS Board of Directors on 07 June 1996. He is currently chairman of the board, president and CEO of Hunt Consolidated, Inc. and other related companies, and is chairman and CEO of Hunt Oil Company.
With respect to government service, Hunt was appointed by President George W. Bush to the President’s Foreign Intelligence Advisory Board in October 2001 and again in January 2006. He is immediate past chairman of the board of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas. He is a member of the National Petroleum Council (an industry advisory organization to the Secretary of Energy) and served as its chairman from June 1991 to July 1994.
Hunt serves as a member of the boards of directors of Bessemer Securities Corporation, Bessemer Securities LLC, King Ranch, Inc., PepsiCo, Inc. and Verde Realty. Within the oil and gas industry, Hunt is a member of the board of directors of the American Petroleum Institute and serves on its Policy Committee.
Hunt also serves as a member of the board of trustees of the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington, D.C., The Cooper Institute and Southern Methodist University. He is currently chairman of the board of trustees of Dallas Medical Resource and a member of the executive committee of the Southwestern Medical Foundation in Dallas.
