Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts' technology infrastructure could no longer effectively accommodate its rapidly growing data-storage needs. So, the company looked to EDS to implement a storage solution.
EDS and alliance partners Cisco and EMC implemented a market-leading solution that classifies information based on its business importance and stores it accordingly. EDS continues to provide services including primary storage and backup and data protection, recovery and archiving.
The solution met the company's storage needs both for today and beyond. Processes are streamlined making it easier to comply with regulations. In addition, the solution is expected to save the company nearly a million dollars over three years.
