Every day, this airline client transports tons of airmail for the U.S. Postal Service, one of its largest customers. When that organization mandated that all its transportation partners move to an electronic messaging system to plan, track and process payment for its shipments, the airline asked EDS to implement a new electronic data interchange (EDI) platform. Leading a team of third-party providers, we reviewed competing platforms and helped the airline select the best system in just a week. Then we designed, tested and implemented the solution in less than three months. The result? By meeting compliance deadlines, the carrier was able to avoid losing a significant percentage of its annual revenue.
