The ‘Governance’ Issue of synnovation Now Available Online

synnovation was born from a desire to share thought leadership on today's most important business and technological issues, and we've worked hard to do just that for the past two years. Now, we'd like to hear what you think.
The latest issue of synnovation, the journal of the EDS Agility Alliance focuses on the genius of good governance – the complex, yet critical processes, management, and decisions geared to help keep your organization ahead of the competition. We explore the impact of strong governance on innovating, protecting trade secrets, and building and maintaining successful business partnerships. We examine the business value of IT governance and offer some tips on governance of service-oriented architecture and open source. There's also a retrospective from EDS vice chairman Jeff Heller and a tour of six cities around the globe with unique styles of governance.
This year, synnovation celebrates its second anniversary. Since its inception, nearly 150,000 copies have been distributed.
“Our original concept for the journal was to capture the collective knowledge, innovation and experience that powers the EDS Agility Alliance,” said EDS’ Charlie Feld, synnovation’s editor-in-chief and senior executive vice president, Application Services. “It has succeeded beyond our expectations, bringing forward exceptional thought leadership and innovative direction for our businesses and clients,” he said.
In addition, synnovation has been recognized with eight awards for design excellence and forward-thinking content, including:
- 2006 Awards for Publication Excellence (APEX) Award – Award of Excellence, “Custom Published Magazines and Journals”
- 2006 Magnum Opus Award – Gold Award for Best Column/Department Design
