Technology, such as wireless networking, BlackBerries, Palms and PDAs, has revolutionized employment, giving most companies sufficient infrastructure to influence how, where and when we work. However, some believe the pendulum has swung too far towards technology. It makes us more productive, but encourages us to work all the time, blurring the distinction between work and leisure.
While businesses navigate these challenges, they need to keep their eye on the evolving relationship between humans and machines, and how they can elicit business benefits from these developments.
