In an exclusive interview, the ITP Report's Lucy Reeves recently met with Sean Wiley, director, Integrated Applications and Industry Solutions for EDS, and Dr. Andrew Sutherland, vice president Technology, Oracle EMEA, to discuss the benefits of an SOA Maturity Model.
According to Wiley, if you think of SOA-based solutions as flexible and dynamic scenarios, then most companies today are in a much more siloed and rigid environment. As a result, companies have to go on quite a journey to get from where they are to where they want to be in an SOA scenario. Having a maturity model as a guide, or a compass, is exactly what is needed. Following such a model helps to reduce risk.
