Developed by employers and funded by the government's Training and Development Agency (TDA), the programme helps to address the long-standing shortage of teachers in maths, science and information and communications technology (ICT) by encouraging people with relevant degrees to consider becoming teachers.

The Nobel Peace Prize is presented that day in Oslo.

- EDS has helped the Arkansas Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Health, with pioneering their BreastCare program since 1999. Since that time, the program, which manages more than 128,000 calls per year, has provided services to more than 39,000 women.
