- PLANO, Texas – EDS today announced its eight major service delivery centers in the Americas Region were recertified for the ISO 9001:2000 certificate, marking 10 years of EDS adhering to an internationally recognized quality measurement standard.

- In the early 1980s, EDS began implementing best practices similar to the ITIL framework available today. The company wanted a consistent way to deliver services globally that would in turn benefit its clients. When ITIL was introduced in the late 1980s, EDS saw many similarities between what it was currently implementing and the new ITIL framework. And they saw many ways to help clients align IT goals with overall business goals.
