Subcontract From Pearson Government Solutions Supports Federal Student Aid’s Front-End Business Integration Program
HERNDON, Va., – EDS today announced it has been awarded a subcontract from Pearson Government Solutions as part of the U.S. Department of Education Federal Student Aid office (FSA) Front End Business Integration initiative. The subcontract contains a one-year base period valued at $6 million with nine, one-year options, with a total contract value of approximately $110 million if all options are exercised fully.
The purpose of the initiative is to increase FSA's ability to create a student-centric service delivery model and manage the student financial aid applications processing and Pell Grant and Direct Loan origination and disbursement processes in a more streamlined, integrated and cost-effective manner.
As part of the Pearson Government Solutions Integrated Product Team, EDS will provide application architecture, enterprise application integration, data strategy, software development, business process re-engineering, business intelligence, imaging and data capture services.
