World Bank Group Selects EDS to Provide Offshore and On-Site IT Services
Increased Productivity, High-Quality Standards and Broad Range of Expertise Support World Bank Group’s Efforts to Eliminate Poverty Around the World
WASHINGTON D.C., PLANO, Texas and BANGALORE – EDS and the World Bank Group today announced a new, three-year with two option years, indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ) information technology (IT) agreement. EDS is one of three companies selected by the World Bank Group to compete for task orders under the $150 million services contract.
With the agreement, EDS will provide technology services in support of the World Bank Group’s development mission in the areas of software applications, customer relationship management, and technology infrastructure and information management. The agreement also includes quality assurance, which will help reduce rework, maintain highly motivated employees, and provide consistent and repeatable processes to improve productivity organization wide.
As a part of the agreement, EDS will use its Best Shore® service delivery model to support critical software application development and maintenance services onsite and also off-shore using EDS’ MphasiS operations in Bangalore, India. This model also offers the option of EDS’ worldwide integrated network of secure delivery facilities, a wide range of highly qualified resources and “follow-the-sun” capabilities as the World Bank Group’s needs evolve over time.
