EDS Selected for Comprehensive U.S. General Services Administration Alliant Program

HERNDON, Virginia – EDS today announced it has been selected by the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) to provide information technology (IT) solutions for all federal government agencies under the newly awarded GSA Alliant contract. EDS is one of 29 companies that may compete for task orders under the $50 billion Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract.

Alliant replaces GSA's Millennia and Applications 'N Support for Widely-diverse End-user Requirements (ANSWER) contracts and will provide a vehicle for any federal government agency to purchase IT infrastructure products and services, IT management services, IT applications, and ancillary services such as training and subject matter expertise. The contract has a five-year base period followed by a five-year option period.

“We expect GSA Alliant to be an essential vehicle that will be used by agencies across government to obtain the IT products and services they will need to most effectively accomplish their missions,” said Jim Duffey, general manager, EDS U.S. Public Sector.

Through its GSA Alliant contract, EDS will offer a vast array of IT solutions to federal agencies including applications and IT infrastructure modernization, enterprise integration, and citizen-centric e-government solutions.

“With our dedicated people, our 45 years of delivery experience, our service excellence and our end-to-end solutions, EDS will bring industry best practices, innovation and thought leadership to the Alliant program,” said Jim Fraser, EDS Alliant Program Manager.
