EDS Backup and Restore Services provide information-centric, flexible managed backup and protection services designed for the full spectrum of corporate needs. These services are structured to meet requirements of accessibility, integrity and recoverability (whether it is within the workplace, the data center or at the enterprise level) and are available in a usage-based pricing model. Using four data classifications, service levels are based on the data's business value and its requirements for cost-effective data protection throughout its entire life. These proven managed services, including integrated hardware, software and service solutions cover the entire range of backup architectures and information demands, and are intelligently tailored to meet your business needs.
The following service packages are available:
- Replication Services targets data protection for the most critical business operations that support revenue growth, productivity and cost-of-goods sold. Ensuring recovery time within minutes, data replication technologies provided by intelligent storage are used to enhance data availability and integrity. Point-in-time copies deliver rapid data restoration, supporting non-intrusive back-ups with immediate copies of large data volumes -- all without affecting normal business operations.
- Datacenter Backup provides both traditional tape and modern disk-based backups:
- Tape Backup: Supports business processes that require basic protection on inexpensive media stored on-site and at a discrete secondary location. Recovery time options range from hours to days, restoring data from the most recent backup.
- Disk-Based Backup: Suited for server file systems and databases supporting business applications. Our disk-based protection options employ RAID protected pools of high-capacity disks and are seamlessly integrated into data protection processes to avoid delays and failures.
- Remote Backup Service (RBS) is an automated backup service supporting geographically dispersed small to medium file servers, which are backed up to a managed central repository. RBS provides encryption, single copy of shared files, and incremental backups.
- Mobile Information Protection (MIP) provides managed PC and laptop backups for data restoration anytime, anywhere. Through automated processes, end-users can restore data in the event PC data is damaged, lost or stolen – all within a matter of hours. Features include self-service restores, encryption, single instance store, incremental backups, easy online enrolment, online updates and scalability from a few users to the entire enterprise.
