EDS Best Shore® EDS' Global Delivery Model

EDS Gloal Delivery Model for Outsourcing Best Shore

EDS, which has operated internationally for more than three decades, began laying the framework for today’s Global Delivery Model in the mid-1980s, opening two data centers in Europe and state-of-the-art information processing centers in Michigan, North Carolina and Texas. Our first Global Sourcing Center – a forerunner of Best Shore – began operations in Ireland in 1990.

Client Proximity:

While EDS has more than 139,554 employees in 66 countries, we’ve made sure that client intimacy stays at the forefront of our service delivery. EDS experts work alongside our clients – typically onsite – to define business requirements and ensure client-specific needs are met or exceeded.

In EDS’ model, these onsite teams direct the client’s global delivery operations through Global Service Centers and Regional Service Centers. We believe this delivery approach provides the optimal mix of quality, capabilities and cost.

Global Footprint

EDS is concentrating its delivery resources through a network of Global Service Centers (GSCs). These centers, located in high-growth, cost-competitive geographies, deliver core cross-portfolio services from single locations. With large resource pools, GSCs have scalable capacity with a diverse set of skills, multiple shifts and multiple languages. Our first GSCs are operational in Chennai and Pune, India.

Regional Service Centers support GSCs and provide unique and specialized near-shore capabilities. For example, our Budapest, Hungary center serves international clients in seven languages. From that location alone, EDS professionals support clients in 19 countries across Europe with a variety of specialized skills.
