Domain specific modeling

by Charlie Bess

Numerous times in this blog, I've touted the virtues of modeling as a way to address the issues of the enterprise. In Jack Greenfield's blog, he posted an entry talking about some of the concerns people have expressed about modeling and domain specific languages.

If this is an area your interested in, it is worth the read.

I have been a bit disappointed in the available tools for the software architect in a modern development environment. Many of the tools still view the development process from a green field approach in my opinion. Hopefully, for organizations performing Enterprise Service Oriented Architecture development, there will be more tools soon. Otherwise, this SOA vision will move us forward but not create the revolution people are looking for.

The 'posted an entry' link seems to be pointing to the wrong place. It's a different blog talking about SharePoint.
