Internet 2

by Charlie Bess

I stayed in the student union while I was at Purdue. Naturally, there was a 100MB Internet connection in every room. I did a TRACERT to see what kind of connection there was and lo' and behold I was 2 hops from an Internet 2 hub and had a sub-millisecond connection all the way. A feeling of power coursed through my veins.

Now I know that "devil-may-care" feeling students have the first time they connect when they get on campus. All the way up to their first virus infection!

I'm surprised to know that in Purdue there provide u with a 100 mb internet connection in every room. In pakistan, there you don't get anything like this in colleges/universities.
